We are using win 7 32bit. Now your Win7 Virtual machine is ready & here comes the configuration part. Click on Settings. On the next screen, Go to Storage, then in the storage devices Click on Empty and then in optical drives Click on the Cd icon to Choose a disk file. So that you can install windows 7 on Virtualbox from ISO file. Now Browse to the Windows 7 ISO. Back to Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager, click on the new Ubuntu virtual machine and hit 'Start' button. Now you shall see a 'Welcome' screen. Click 'Install Ubuntu' button. Note that the installation process may differ a little bit from version to version. The screenshots here are based on Ubuntu 14.04.1. Oracle VM VirtualBox 6.1.0 on 32-bit and 64-bit PCs. This download is licensed as freeware for the Windows (32-bit and 64-bit) operating system on a laptop or desktop PC from computer utilities without restrictions. As a new user of VirtualBox, I'm trying to create a virtual machine, Windows 7 Professional (32-bit), on my Win7 Pro (64-bit) Lenovo T530 Thinkpad. I set up the new guest with all the suggested/default settings (32MB RAM, 32GB virtual hard drive, type VDI, dynamically allocated, acceleration disabled, etc.), and, with my Lenovo recovery disk in the optical drive, press Start.
The CD/DVD drive starts up, and the following sequence appears....

  4. Lenovo 'Rescue & Recovery' screen - this is the screen that come up when one reloads the operating system

Virtualbox....and then appears again and again in an endless loop. I've tried this procedure using SATA and IDE as choices for controller - identical result for both. I've attached a log file.
